My Mentor for life . . . .

There was time when all was blue,
Then all of sudden, it was like a dream come true,
Small and tiny were her little pebble like, black shiny eyes,
Enough to challenge the dark night herself.

Fingers so tender that even a fly would fear treading on them,
An amazing creation of my god,
A gift so precious he had bestowed upon us.

The minute she looked at me through the piles of cloth she was wrapped into,
It was worth the wait, a whole eleven year long wait,
My kid sister had brought with her bundles of happiness,
She flaunted her joy too, every time she smiled at me saying, "Hey how was the wait?"
I could see her, saying sorry, sorry to have made you wait.

But I looked at her with pride in my gaze, being her elder sister was worth the wait,
Today she has grown to be half my height, but will still remain for ever my mentor for life.

Beautifully rendered Sreshta. Gosh...it reminded me a lot about my own sister. Trust me it requires a lot of guts for an elder sister to admit the fact that she looks up to her younger sister.
